GROWTH GROUPS

BANNING CAMPUS - Wednesdays

January 17-March 20
7:00PM

• (COED) Seeking Light in a Dark World: The Gospel of John pt.1
Where do you turn when the world around you grows dark? In this study of the Gospel of John, Dr. Tony Evans encourages us to turn to Christ by reminding us of the two purposes for the beloved disciple’s book—that we would believe in Jesus and find life in his name. Despite what our culture may argue.

• (COED) Emotionally Healthy Relationships  Cost - $20
For those desiring to take steps in their Christian life and discipleship, to break free from bondage to the past and experience healing, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality integrates emotional health and contemplative spirituality. Many sincere followers of Christ, who are considered "mature" remain stuck at a level of spiritual immaturity—especially when faced with interpersonal conflicts and crises. This different approach to discipleship addresses this void, giving you powerful pathways to transformation through these seven biblical, reality-tested steps to become emotionally mature:

-Become your authentic self
-Break the power of the past
-Let go of power and control
-Surrender to your limits
-Stop to breathe by practicing rest and Sabbath
-Learn new skills to love well
-Love Christ above all else

This course is frank, honest, and will challenge you to take immediate action in your life by providing you with the tools, teaching, and practical steps needed to build an effective strategy to be finally free.

• (WOMEN) Using the Psalms to Pray  Cost - $10
All Christians know they should pray, but sometimes it’s hard to know how—especially if the minutes start to drag and our minds start to wander. Praying the Bible shows readers how to pray through portions of Scripture one line at a time, helping us stay focused by allowing God’s Word itself to direct our thoughts and words. Simple yet profound, this resource will prove invaluable to all Christians as they seek to commune with their heavenly Father in prayer each and every day.

RIALTO CAMPUS - Thursdays

January 18 - March 21
Various Start Times

• (WOMEN) 1, 2 & 3 John - 10:00 AM
Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love.

• (WOMEN) Captivating - 6:30 PM Cost - $12
Most women think they have to settle for a life of duty, trying hard to "do these ten things, and you will be a godly woman," yet feeling like a failure. The message of Captivating is that the desires you had as a little girl and the longings you still feel are telling you of the life God created you to live. He offers to come now, as the Hero of your story—to rescue your heart and release you to live as a fully alive and feminine woman. A woman who is truly captivating.

• (MEN) Staying Strong in a Hostile World - 6:30 PM Cost - $7
How can we remain faithful to God in a world that rejects Him? Is it even worth standing firm when His kingdom often seems so far away? Is it possible to be a blessing in our nation and show the power and goodness of God in our day? This is the very context in which Daniel found himself. In this study you will be reassured, challenged, and thrilled by his life and see how you can and must stay strong in a hostile world.
