- What genuine change have you seen take place in your heart/life as a result of your relationship with Jesus?
The God Who WELCOMES not BURDENS
- What “kinds” of people are often made to feel unwelcome in church (generally speaking, not specifically Sunrise)?
- READ Matthew 21:12-14 – What stands out to you in these verses?
- Describe the difference between being welcoming and being affirming to all people?
- What is an area in your life where you can be more welcoming?
The God Who STARS not SUPPORTS
- Share about a time you prayed for something specifically but God did not answer the way you would have wanted Him to. How did it impact your faith?
- READ Mark 11:20-24 – What stands out to you in these verses?
- What is dangerous about believing that if we “have enough faith”, God will answer our prayers?
- When we place God (and not ourselves) at the center of our life story, how does that impact the way we view the gifts and the pains in our lives?
Look Beyond:
- Spend time this week praying for those you know who don’t follow Jesus. Ask the God of transformation to become the star of their life. Also, consider some ways you can invite them to come to Easter services and how you can be a source of welcoming for them.
