Transformation is Giving All to God

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act of worship.  Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:1-2 (NIV 1984)

January 6 – Transformation is Giving All to God

Begin your time with God in prayer.

Praise God for who He is.  Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him.  Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.

Write out Romans 12:1-2.  This is our verse for year and we all want to learn it.

Offering our lives to God is something we should do every day.  It is an act of worship.

Apply God’s Word to your life.

What areas of your life do you struggle to give to God?  Why?

Why, according to this verse, should we offer our bodies and lives to God?

Why does God deserve your worship?

What would it look like to offer your life to God today to use for His will?

Ask God to help you offer your life to Him today.

Father, I praise You for Your unfailing love for me.  I give You my life today for Your purposes.  Help me to live for You.  Help me make decisions that are pleasing to You.  Use Your Word to transform my mind.  I want Your will, Your good, pleasing and perfect will.  Amen
