"Praise the Lord! How good to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how fitting!" Psalm 147:1
I recently saw an article entitled, “Top 10 Resolutions to Improve Your Appearance.” The article started out saying, “With the start of 2012, now’s a good time to start thinking about any changes you want to make to your appearance over the upcoming year. To help you figure out where to focus your efforts, we’ve put together a list of 10 grooming and lifestyle resolutions that, when adhered to, will make you even more irresistible than ever before.”
Here are the 10 suggestions:
1. Chew whitening gum after meals.
2. Shine your shoes.
3. Swap your razor regularly.
4. Add lean protein to every meal.
5. Add vegetables to every meal.
6. Adopt an in-trend haircut.
7. Invest in a quality antioxidant moisturizer.
8. Buy concealer.
9. Have a blazer tailor-made.
10. Pick up a hardcore workout DVD set.
I think this is excellent advice for improving your appearance, but I’d like to add an 11th suggestion that is more important than all 10 combined.
The scripture says in Psalm 147:1 that praise is fitting… it means that praise looks good on you.
You know how good it feels when you try on clothes and they fit you well. When clothes have a great fit, you look and feel good.
It’s the same with your inner look. When you live a life of praise and thanks, it makes you look good, not just on the inside, but also to everyone else!
So when you think about a 2012 makeover, think about getting fit with a little praise… it looks good on you!
