"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They are innumerable! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!" Psalm 139:14-18
Your life is no fluke of nature. Your birth was no mistake or mishap. You are not an accident!!!
God was not at all surprised by your birth. While many children are unplanned by their biological parents, they are not unplanned by God. It was quite the contrary, He expected it. God thought of you first. You were conceived in the mind of God long before you were conceived by your parents. Your existence is not by fate, nor by chance or luck. You are alive and breathing at this moment because God wanted to create you. And His workmanship is marvelous!
It’s even perplexing to think that our God prearranged and set every detail of our bodies. God deliberately chose your parents, your race, your skin color, your hair, your eyes, your body structure, your gifts, your talents, your personality, your entire DNA. That fact alone is hard to comprehend and is difficult for our minds to grasp. Because God made you for a reason, He also decided when you would be born and how long you would live. God planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death.
Isaiah 44: 2 says “I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born.” So, regardless of the circumstance of your birth, or who your parents are, God had a plan in creating you. It doesn’t matter if your parents were good or bad, rich or in poverty, Christian or Non-Christian. God knew that your biological parents possessed exactly the right genetic makeup to create the custom “you”. He had you in mind.
God made you for a reason and your life has profound meaning. We discover that meaning only when we make God the reference point of our life. His thoughts about you are precious. In fact, God thoughts and cares for you are innumerable; they outnumber the grains of sand. God created you, He loves you and His ultimate desire is to have a personal relationship with you. He wants to engage and connect with you each day as you walk through this journey we call life!!!
Carve out some time each day to spend with God and take Him on your journey. Enjoy the ride!!!
