It's All Good
"Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Psalm 16:5-8
“It’s all good” is a phrase often used to express optimism in a situation that may not be what you expected, but you’re aware of the fact that you are able to work through it. God is saying to us in Psalms 16 to know that wherever He places us “It’s All Good”. No matter our circumstances we are still to believe that God is in control and fully aware. There may be times when we can’t steer clear of the collision, but we are forced to stay in its path trusting that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
If we believe God loves us as His word says, we should not fear, because there is no fear in perfect love. We don’t have to be afraid for He is taking care of us and our situation.
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18
Father you are more than enough for us! You are our portion, our cup, and you have made our lot secure with your power to protect and bless us no matter what we come up against. The boundary lines of our lives you have allowed to fall in pleasant places and we have a delightful inheritance in you. Lord receive our praise, because we are counseled through your word and it is hidden in our hearts. Trusting you gives us strength and courage to continue ahead. We desire to grow spiritually as we keep our eyes on you so that we will not be shaken by what the future holds. Father in you “It’s All Good”. Amen.
