“Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
The past couple months have been one of the most difficult times of my life, but at the same time, the most special between myself and the Lord.
During this very eventful time, I have cried out to the Lord to direct my path and to help me to make the right decisions for my parents, as they were transitioning to a new season of their life.
Many times I have called upon a very special group of ladies called Fab5 (we are 5 fabulous praying ladies!) that I know continually pray for me and the decisions or circumstances I am facing. What type of company do you keep? Do those that are close to you and pray with you have a passion for pursuing God‘s heart? As I look back, I can see how God has strategically placed these 4 women into my life for a purpose beyond my thoughts. These women have helped me in my journey, just as Moses helped the Israelites in their journey to the Promised Land. I have made it a point to hold on to these ladies who also pursue God in their lives. As I struggle with events or circumstances in my life, I have a confidence in knowing that all I need to do is text them and they are praying for me and holding me up. Through our prayers, I know that God is working. Oh is God ever working in my life as I journey with my parents. My Fab5 have provided me with a safe place where I am not judged as I explore God and His work in me. The truth of God’s Word and the spiritual maturity we gain through each other’s experiences are what carries me on.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” I Thessalonians 5:11
Who do you have in your life that you can go to at any time to pray with when times are very difficult? Ask God to show you how to develop that certain relationship. Find a friend of faith and begin to cultivate that friendship. Together you can encourage each other to fully pursue God’s work in your lives.
Ask me anytime about my Fab5 and how important they are to me. Let me encourage you to find your Fab5! Because prayer is our lifeline to God.
