Crossfit - Day 9 - Thankfulness is the Expression of Your Spiritual Growth

Begin your time with God in prayer.

Praise God for who He is.  Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him.  Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."  I Thessalonians 5:16-18

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"  Philippians 4:4

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade, kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."  I Peter 1:3-5

·  Since thankfulness is an indicator of our spiritual growth and faith, evaluate your thankfulness.  What does it indicate?

·  Make a list of at least five things you can be thankful for today.

·  1 Peter 1:3-5 tells us that we can rejoice during our trials.  Read it over and over, spend a few minutes meditating on it, and then offer it as praise to God.
