Crossfit - Day 5 - The Rewards of Spiritual Fitness
Begin your time with God in prayer.
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3
· What entanglements do you need to throw off so that you can run the race that is marked out for you?
· What is the reward for those who pursue being spiritually fit?
· How did you do on following through on your commitments from last weekend’s message?
Father, thank you for all the examples You have given to me of those who truly live for Jesus. Help me to throw off everything that entangles me and to focus on Jesus and the rewards of taking up my cross and living for Him. Help me to grow spiritually fit and bring glory to You!
