Crossfit - Day 4 - Follow Jesus
Begin your time with God in prayer.
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.
Spiritual success requires denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Jesus.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again." 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." I Corinthians 9:24-27
· What would it begin to look like for you not to live for yourself, but to live for Jesus who died on the cross for you?
· How have your attempts to follow Jesus in the past been a bit aimless?
· What is one thing you can do today to begin to make your body, your mind, and your will to focus on Jesus?
Thank you for how Your Word shows me the truth about my life. I have been scattered and distracted in my attempts to follow You. Help me to be focused today on living for You and not for myself. Bring Your Word to my mind today. Nudge me with Your Spirit when I start to lose focus. May I bring You glory with how I live today.
