40 Days of Prophecy - January 22, 2016 - Do You Believe?

Begin your time with God in prayer:
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life. Yield your will to God’s will.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart:

Read Revelation 11:1-19

The two witnesses are symbolic of the witnessing church. After they have finished proclaiming repentance, they are killed. God, then, resurrects them and brings them to Heaven. Then, a strong earthquake is released on earth.

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26

What does it take to be resurrected by Jesus (vs. 25)?
What does it take to never die (vs. 26)?
What do you think it means to live in Jesus?
Do you believe this?

There is only one way to receive eternal life – by believing in Jesus. Once we do, though our physical body may die, we still live. How do you know if you really believe – by the way you live!

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven."  Matthew 7:21

Who gets into Heaven in Matthew 7:21?

Apply God’s Word to your life:
· Take some time to seriously evaluate your life. Do you really believe in Jesus?
· In what ways do you joyfully do His will? When do you say “no” to God’s will?
· As you go about your day, look for someone you can talk to about Jesus.

Father, thank you for the hope of the resurrection. Forgive me for not really believing in You. Help me to surrender today to live according to Your will. Let my life show that I love You as I live to do Your will. Amen.
