Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book. – Revelation 22:7
Begin your time with God in prayer:
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life. Yield your will to God’s will.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart:
Read Revelation 21:1-8
This week, we see the eternal state which will be experienced by God’s people forever.
What did John see in verses 1-2? What happened to the world we know?
As the church, God’s bride, comes to meet Him, what is declared from the throne (vs. 3)?
What are the benefits of being eternally with God (vs. 4)?
What will God do for the thirsty (6)?
What will the one who conquers (overcomes) inherit (vs. 1-7)?
How does God describe those who will face the second death (vs. 8)?
The fullness of God’s presence will remove every pain of life.
Apply God’s Word to your life:
· Worship and praise God for our awesome future.
· Spend time in God’s presence. Don’t wait until Heaven to experience His joy.
· Focus on Jesus and eternity while you endure earthly struggles.
· Look to Jesus to quench your thirst with your Living Water.
Father, what a wonderful future You have for me. Thank you for loving me and drawing me into a relationship with Your Son. Forgive me for not spending enough time with You. I want to experience the joy of Your presence. Help me break away from the distractions in my life and make time for You. Amen.
