40 Days of Prophecy - February 6, 2016 - The White Throne

Begin your time with God in prayer:
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life. Yield your will to God’s will.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart:

Read Revelation 20:11-15

Who is gathered before the throne (v. 12)?
On what basis is Jesus going to judge all people (vs. 12-13)?
Who will go to heaven (Rev. 21:27)?
What happens to death and Hades (vs. 14)?
What is the lake of fire called (vs.14)?
What happens to people whose name is not written in the Book of Life (vs. 15)?

Earth as we know it has been destroyed. Jesus is about to judge people on whether their names have been written in the Book of Life. Having your name in the Book of Life is the most important decision of your life.

Apply God’s Word to your life:
· Make sure your name is written in the Book of Life.
· Live daily manifesting the light and love of Jesus.
· Add some new names to the list of people you are praying for.
· Bring others to Christ now.

Father, thank you for revealing to me what the future holds. Help me to love people more than things. Teach me how to let Your light and love flow through me to a lost and hurting world. Thank you for being patient with those who do not know You so that many can still be saved. Amen.

Related verses to meditate on:

"For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire."  I Corinthians 3:11-15

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."  2 Corinthians 5:10

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6
