Begin your time with God in prayer.
Begin your time with praise to God. Confess any sin that might be hindering your relationship with Him. Ask God to give you spiritual understanding as you spend time in His Word.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
"I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted." Job 42:2
What did Job understand about God’s purpose and plans?
"22 And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.” 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” 26 And he answered, “It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.” 28 Then Jesus answered her, “O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed instantly." Matthew 15:22-28
Why was the woman crying out to Jesus (22)?
What did the disciples want Jesus to do (23)?
Why didn’t Jesus immediately heal the woman’s daughter (24)?

Apply God’s Word to your life.
· Evaluate your faith. Is it sincere? Do you really believe that God is all-powerful? Do you believe God will accomplish His purposes?
· How might you need to shore up your faith?
· What requests do you need to bring to Jesus today with sincere faith?
Father, I praise You that Your power and Your plans are unstoppable. Forgive me for all the times I doubt and hold back from trusting You. Help me get to know You better so that I will trust You to unleash Your power through my prayers. Amen.
