Begin your time with God in prayer.
Begin your time today with praise to God. Confess any sin that might be hindering your relationship with Him. Ask God to give you spiritual understanding as you spend time in His Word.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
Re-read Matthew 7:7. We want to learn it.
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:1-2
Have you noticed how difficult it is break a habit or change your life? Currently I am working on not interrupting others. The good news is that I am much more aware that I do it. The bad news is that I see how often I do it. God uses His Word to renew our minds, and transform our lives. Literally, He helps us change how we think, which changes how we live. To benefit most from this journey, our minds need to be renewed daily with God’s Word. For 40 days, we will be focusing on Unleashing God’s power through prayer. Each day we will give you a few verses to meditate on throughout your day to help renew your mind.
Apply God’s Word to your life.
Ask God to transform your life with His Word.
Make time daily to read God’s Word, meditate on it and let it have its full impact on your head and your heart.
Offer your day to God to use as He sees fit.
Father, I praise You that You are a God of transformation. I need transformation. Renew my mind with Your Word on this journey. Teach me how to pray so that Your power is unleashed for Your purposes. Amen.
Related verses to meditate on.
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." Psalm 1:1-3
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8
