40 Days of Prayer - Keep Trusting in God's Answers - Day 24

Begin your time with God in prayer.

Begin your time with praise to God.  Confess any sin that might be hindering your relationship with Him.  Ask God to give you spiritual understanding as you spend time in His Word.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."  Romans 8:28

What can we trust God for according to Romans 8:28?

What two things does it say are our responsibility?

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.   For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."  Isaiah 55:8-9

As we learn to trust in God’s answers, what truth do we need to embrace from Isaiah 55:8-9?

Today, when you pray, trust that God will give the best to you, His child, as He answers our prayers in His love and wisdom.  Always be aware, though, that He answers in His way and in His timing.

Apply God’s Word to your life.

Keep looking for and trusting in God’s answers to your prayers.

What is one way you will love God today?

How will you cooperate with His purposes for your life?

Father, I acknowledge today, once again, that Your are God.  Your ways are not my ways.  What You think is good is not always what I think is good.  Help me to keep trusting in Your answers to my prayers.  Unleash Your power through me as I continue to ask, seek and knock. I want to trust You with all my heart.  Amen.

Related verses to meditate on.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6

"As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him."  Psalm 103:13

"Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"  Matthew 7:9-11
