Begin your time with God in prayer.
Begin your time with praise to God. Confess any sin that might be hindering your relationship with Him. Ask God to give you spiritual understanding as you spend time in His Word.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
"9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light." Colossians 1:9-12

· Ask God (in faith) to bear fruit through your life. Choose one person to encourage today with God’s love.
· Get in a Life Group so you grow in the knowledge of God.
· Give thanks to Jesus for making it possible for you to be saved.
Father, I praise You. Holy is Your name. Fill me with the knowledge of Your will so I can please You today. Help me see opportunities to show Your love to those who cross my path today. Thank you for saving me. Help me make growing spiritually a priority this year. Amen.

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
