40 Days of Joy - Pursue the Purposes of God - Day 13

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice."  Philippians 4:4

Begin your time with God in prayer:

Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life. Yield your will to God’s will.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart:

The joy of the Lord comes when our lives and hearts are aligned with the purposes of God. We find God’s purposes as we read His Word.

Philippians 4:1 - Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

3 John 4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

.Apply God’s Word to your life:

  • How can you stand firm in the Lord today?

  • In what ways are you being conformed to the world? How can you change that?

  • Allow God to transform you by renewing your mind with His Word.

  • Walk in God’s truth today.

Father, I praise You for my salvation. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I want to live for Your purposes today. Let Your Word be my guide. Help me to remove those things which conform me to the world. Renew my mind with Your Word. Help me to walk in Your truth. Amen.
