"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice." Philippians 4:4
Begin your time with God in prayer:
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life. Yield your will to God’s will.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart:
2 Corinthians 5:17-20 - 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
How does Paul describe the person who comes to Christ (vs. 17)?
What ministry did God give us (vs. 18)?
What message did God give us (vs. 19)?
In verse 20, what does Paul call those who are entrusted with the Gospel?
As an ambassador, we represent Christ to the lost and hurting and have the privilege of bringing life-changing Gospel to them.
.Apply God’s Word to your life:
Make a list of 5 people that you know who need to be reconciled to God.
Pray that God would prepare their hearts to hear the Gospel.
Grab some invite cards from the Worship Center Lobby so that you can be an ambassador this week.
Father, I praise You for my salvation. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I want to be an ambassador for You today. Help me to show the love and light of Jesus as I go about my day today. Amen.
