40 Days of Compassion - Day 34 - Love Prays for the Lost

Begin your time with God in prayer.
Praise God for who He is.  Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him.  Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.

Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.

"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."  1 Timothy 2:1-4

"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.  And I will raise him up on the last day."  John 6:44

John 6:44 changed my prayer life.  Today, when I pray for those who need a relationship with Jesus, I ask the Father to draw them to His Son, Jesus.  It’s simple and it’s powerful.

Apply God’s Word to your life.
· Take out your “Pray for 10” list.  Ask God to draw each one to Jesus.

Father, I am so grateful that You desire all people to be saved.  Help me to develop my prayer life so that I pray more. Help me to show them Your love wherever I am.  Draw them to Your Son so they can be saved.  Amen.

"All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers."  Acts 1:14

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.  And all who believed were together and had all things in common.  And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."  Acts 2:42-47
