Begin your time with God in prayer.
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:14-19
We love like Jesus when we allow Christ to live in our hearts and experience the depth of His love. That’s why Paul prays this prayer for the church in Ephesus. He knew that for us to love people like Jesus, we’d need to be filled with Jesus. We begin by being rooted and grounded in His love. As we grow, we come to know God and His love more deeply. Then, God’s love flows freely through us to a lost and hurting world.
Apply God’s Word to your life.
· Pray that God will strengthen you with His power so that Christ can dwell unhindered in your heart.
· Ask God to help you to grasp the depth of His love so that you can be filled with the fullness of God.
Father, I want to be filled with You. Strengthen me with Your power so that You can dwell in my heart unhindered. Help me to grasp the depth of Your love so that Your love will flow from my life. Amen.
