40 Days of Compassion - Day 32 - Bold Love
Begin your time with God in prayer.
Praise God for who He is. Confess any sin so that nothing blocks your fellowship with Him. Ask God to use the Spirit and the Word to transform your life.
Let God’s Word penetrate your head and your heart.
Read Mark 12:30-31 slowly and purposely. Allow God to write it on your heart.
"To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." Ephesians 6:18-20
One of the ways we access God’s power is through prayer. Paul was in prison when he asked the churches to pray for him to speak boldly. Paul did not use his circumstances as an excuse. He prayed for the words to share the love of Jesus.
Apply God’s Word to your life.
· What excuses do you make for not sharing the love of Jesus with those who cross your path?
· Who can pray for you to be bold in your witness for Jesus?
· Pray for your own boldness as you go about your day.
Father, thank you for Paul’s example. Give me the boldness to share Your love with those who do not know You. Help me to stop making excuses and to be committed to walking with You and living for You. Amen.
